Tea Ceremony in the Painted Hall: Fri 20 Feb 2026 | 6.30pm & 8.30pm
Immerse yourself in the art of tea tasting in the breathtaking setting of the Painted Hall. Led by Juyan, Chinese tea practitioner and UK Tea Academy (UKTA) Tea Specialist, this after-hours experience offers a sensory journey through the traditions, flavours and heritage of Chinese tea.
Through guided tasting and storytelling, you will explore six premium teas, each representing one of the major tea categories, while gaining insight into their history, production and cultural significance.
What’s included:
- Tasting of six premium Chinese teas from across the major tea categories: Green, White, Yellow, Oolong, Black and Dark (fermented)
- Cultural context and history behind each tea
- An interactive tea quiz
- Visual presentation
Duration: 90 minutes
About Juyan
Juyan is a Chinese tea practitioner and UK Tea Academy (UKTA) Tea Specialist. Raised in Zhejiang Province, one of China’s most renowned tea regions, she grew up immersed in tea culture, learning to pick and process tea alongside her family.
Through her practice, Juyan encourages participants to slow down, engage the senses and connect with the mindfulness and rich traditions of Chinese tea in a calm and restorative setting.
