Father Christmas

This Christmas, join us in Admiral’s House for our very own slice of the North Pole right here in Greenwich.

Old Royal Father Christmas and his granddaughter (nicknamed Helper-Bean) have made themselves at home and can’t wait to meet you all. Come and meet Father Christmas and feel the Christmas magic as he reads ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, before receiving a special gift and having the opportunity to take your own photo with him.

Please Note:

  • If you would like to take a photo of your own group, please note this must be done on your own personal device, there is no professional photographer.

  • Up to two adults per child ticket. We are unable to allow any additional adults in your group to join.

Babes in Arm require a ticket – if you are buying for a group, and you have already purchased a child ticket, please select the free accompanying babe-in-arm ticket. If your group’s only child is your Babe-in-Arm, they will require a paid ticket. In this instance, we recommend booking the 'Good Morning with Father Christmas' sessions, which are slightly shorter, reduced capacity and offered at a reduced price.

Relaxed Sessions:

• Sunday 8 December, 3.45pm-4:25pm

• Sunday 15 December, 10.15am-10.55am

• Sunday 22 December, 10.15am – 10.55am

These sessions are adapted to be more accessible and will have a more relaxed environment. Each session will be drop-in, so you are welcome to arrive at any point during the session (with last entry fifteen minutes before the end time), so there’s less pressure to have to arrive for a very specific time. Once you have arrived, you are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like (up until the end of your session).

The content of the sessions will be adapted from the standard sessions. Father Christmas will be seated on the floor, to help make the space feel a little less daunting, and he will be a little more mobile, meaning there is no pressure to feel you need to sit or stand still for a set amount of time. Father Christmas and his helper will be paying even closer attention to how families and children are feeling in the space and will adjust the session and their interactions as best as they can to help everyone enjoy the event in a way that suits them. Due to this, Father Christmas is not guaranteed to read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, but he may read some or all the story during the sessions if it feels appropriate.  Children will come away with a Christmas gift, and families will be able to take a photo with Father Christmas if they would like, but there will be no pressure.
