Lie Down and Listen returns this December to the Painted Hall with Illumination – a special and unique experience.
Deep C Resonance – Naomi Watts: at the Painted Hall; Fri 13 Mar & Sat 14 March 2026 | 6.30pm & 8.30pm
Feel the resonance in the stunning surroundings of the baroque Painted Hall as cellist Naomi Watts guides you through a deeply relaxing and uplifting sound healing and lying down classical concert experience. With Bach cello suites to put a smile on your face and joy in your heart.
The simplicity of the deep C note on her cello is like a grounding call to reconnect. You’ll feel rooted and relaxed, ready to absorb the beautiful sounds of Tibetan bowls, gongs followed by uplifting and joyous Bach as well as Naomi’s own lopping piece which will gentle guide you into a rhythmic trance like state.

A Lie Down and Listen experience with deep resonances of ancient sound healing instruments and bass voices contrasting with ethereal baroque masterpieces on violin, mirroring the otherworldly baroque ceiling.
The heart of this experience features Bieber’s Passacaglia and Marcus Paus’ Wounded Angel pieces inspired by the striking images of Hugo Simberg.
You’ll leave feeling a sense of awe, spiritual connection yet truly grounded.
Heavenly Voices: at the Painted Hall; Fri 9 Oct & Sat 10 Oct 2026 | 6.30pm & 8.30pm
The Choir of St Luke’s conducted Jeremy Summerly
Feel a deep sense of peace as you lie down and listen to heavenly voices at the Painted Hall. Fel immersed as you’re surrounded by the serene sounds of Arvo Part, Meredith Monk and Eric Whitacre in a lying down concert where you’ll feeling like you’re literally flying amongst angels.
Divine Love Piano: at the Painted Hall; Fri 11 Dec & Sat 12 Dec 2026 | 6.30pm & 8.30pm
Close the year by opening your heart in deep connection with the Divine Love. Pianist and founder Christina McMaster guides you through a deep meditation followed by Tibetan bowl sound healing and a lying down classical piano concert experience with poetry and vocals.
The main access lift for the Painted Hall is currently unavailable, a secondary lift is available that provides partial access to the space. Apologies for any inconvenience.
