Murder Mystery Experience
Uncover secrets and solve a murder mystery in the Admiral’s House. A thrilling after-hours detective game in a historic setting.
All Hallows’ Eve, 1884. For years a small circle of friends has met at Admiral’s House, in the shadow of the Royal Naval College, for cards, brandy and gossip. This Halloween they have invited a fashionable medium to the table, hoping to call back Lord Nelson from the hall where he once lay in state. The candle is snuffed, hands are joined, and something answers. It is not the Admiral, but a colder voice, from much further north. When the lamps are lit again, one of the circle is dead at the table. Detective Inspector Josiah Marsh arrives at eleven o’clock as arranged, expecting to arrest a fraud, and finds himself facing a murder instead. Join him as you move through the rooms of Admiral’s House, question the medium, the widow, the clergyman, the clerk and the Admiral, and piece together the séance seat by seat to discover who let go of whose hand in the dark. Not everyone at that table came to speak to the dead. Some came to make sure the dead stayed silent.
The story is about the disappearance of Sir John Franklin, the Arctic explorer. They had hoped for Nelson, the obvious choice given that he lay in state in the Painted Hall. Franklin comes through instead.
